Adidas SPEZIAL has unveiled the Gazelle SPZL, a new addition to its AW23 collection, curated by adidas archivist and Spezial founder Gary Aspden.

A Modern Twist on a Classic Design

The Gazelle SPZL represents a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic adidas silhouette, blending elements from the late 60s, 70s, and 80s Gazelles. This model features a completely reworked upper and introduces a new foxing tape, enhancing the texture mix to pay homage to its heritage.

Celebrating the Iconic Footwear

The Spezial range celebrates this iconic adidas footwear with two distinct versions. The first version showcases a bottle green suede with white stripes, featuring a traditional ‘dimple’ tongue and a white eyestay, reminiscent of the early 70s West German Gazelle. The second version is presented in a navy colorway, inspired by the terrace classic ‘Tahiti Marine’. It features a suede upper with flock stripes, a first for Gazelle stripes, and a suede tongue adorned with a woven branded label.

Both colorways of the Gazelle SPZL are now available through the adidas Confirmed app and select retailers.
