Sharing the same stage as the iPhone 12 and 12 mini, Apple also announced the flagship phones iPhone 12 Pro – and 12 Pro Max.
iPhone 12 Pro introduces a new design, covered in a flat stainless steel frame and glass on the back of the phone. This phone is available in Gold, Gray, Silver, and Pacific Blue colors.
The smartphone has a 6.1-inch screen and is equipped with a Super Retina XDR OLED panel, carries a 60 Hz refresh rate, and supports brightness up to 1200 nits.
Apple secured the screens of its flagship phones with a Ceramic Shield, which can provide up to four times the drop protection offered by the previous generation.
The iPhone 12 Pro is also powered by the A14 Bionic processor which is built on a 5nm process, features a six-core CPU and a four-core GPU, and promises up to 50% faster performance than competing phones can offer.
The camera setup on the iPhone 12 Pro is compiled in a triple camera system which includes a 12 MP wide, telephoto, and ultrawide lens.
The wide lens of the iPhone 12 Pro carries an aperture of f / 1.6, offering a performance increase of up to 27% in taking pictures in low light. The phone also carries a 52mm focal length and offers a 4x optical zoom.
Apple also introduced the Apple ProRAW feature which will be available for the iPhone 12 Pro before the end of this year. This technology allows users to take RAW images using a built-in application, and edit RAW images with the help of Deep Fusion and Smart HDR technology.
Just like the iPhone 12 and 12 mini, the iPhone 12 Pro also supports MagSafe, a wireless charging technology that uses magnets to make the process easier.
The pre-orders period of the iPhone 12 Pro in the US will open on October 16, and shipments will take place on October 26, with prices starting at $ 999. iPhone 12 Pro will be available in 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage options.
Apple won’t include a charging adapter and Earpods in the box for the iPhone 12 Pro. This was done by Apple to reduce carbon emissions, as part of its efforts to protect the environment.
