Nike has officially introduced the SB React Leo, the first signature skate shoe for professional skateboarder Leo Baker. Scheduled for release on September 15, 2023, the shoe is a testament to Nike’s dedication to athletes and their specific needs.

The shoe is engineered with triple-reinforced stitch details in the ollie area and toe, a hybrid vulcanized-cupsole construction, and a responsive Nike React midsole. These features provide excellent grip, board feel, and impact cushioning, making it a versatile choice for skateboarders.

Leo Baker’s Vision

“I wanted the shoe to be utilitarian with elevated moments and fashion-y vibes but ultimately to be a great skate shoe,” says Leo Baker. “The overlays with the toe cap create three layers, so it takes a long time to wear through. The triple stitching on the toe really helps with the durability. I wanted it to last long but skate well out of the box, so this new vulc-cup combo is perfect for that. It’s everything I could have ever dreamed of in a shoe. I’m really proud of it.”
